Photo taken with a disposable camera on 8/9/2003 at a home established 1882 in Cape May, NJ. An unexplained figure can be seen in the mirror on the left. Several theories, such as flash filament or reflected flash on the opposite wall from glass objects, have been disproven. Similar photos were taken with an Olympus Camedia D360L camera on the same day, at the same home, in the same room, and nothing unusual was seen in the room or on the opposite wall. However, many paranormal events were experienced in the room and throughout the entire house during our brief stay.

Photo taken with an Olympus Camedia D360L camera on 10/31/2004 (Halloween) at a theme park established 1974 in Jackson, NJ. An unexplained large dark spot can be seen to the lower right of the bus. Notice that the dark area partially obstructs the rear tire.

Photo taken with a Canon PowerShot S500 camera on 8/3/2005 at a winery established 1864 in Egg Harbor, NJ. At the third curio cabinet from the left, see two red light reflections at the top, where a face can be seen between the lights. Zoom in to see the face of an African-American woman (slightly distorted). Only the photographer (a white male) was in the room at the time, and no one else was near the area. Similar photos were taken with a FujiFilm FinePix E550 camera on the same day, at the same winery, in the same room, and nothing was seen between the two red light reflections. Six (or more) orbs can be seen faintly in the photo also. Some people report seeing a young girl in the photo as well.

Photo taken with a Canon PowerShot S500 camera on 8/3/2005 at a winery established 1864 in Egg Harbor, NJ. Although sometimes called an orb, the white spot in the upper left corner is possibly the result of reflected light from the flash on a dust particle. Interestingly, this room is the oldest part of the winery.

Photo taken with a FujiFilm FinePix F72EXR camera on 1/2/2010 at Longwood Gardens established 1700 in Kennett Square, PA. In two of the seven nighttime images captured (the only two with flash), several orbs can be clearly seen. This first picture has been enhanced by removing all blue to create a yellow image, and also by filtering it with an algorithm called retinex. See the other photo taken as well. Lens flare does not explain these orbs. This property has a long and rich history. The native Lenni Lenape indian tribe used this area for at least 200 years before a Quaker family (Peirce) purchased the land from William Penn in 1700.

Photo taken with a FujiFilm FinePix F72EXR camera on 8/14/2010 at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center established 1921 (rebuilt and relocated 2008) in Gettysburg, PA. A bright blue orb can be clearly seen left of the man (in front of the large rock) that appears in the brownish image on the wall paper of the curved wall. This circular hallway provides an entrance to the museum and theater lobbies. The hallway displays two large historical images, one on each semi-circular wall of the hallway. The wall in the photo shows Little Round Top in 1863, and the other wall shows the town of Gettysburg in 1863. However, there are no blue orbs in the photo of the opposite wall, which was taken immediately following the photo of the wall shown. There were no visible objects and no one else in the hallway, except the photographer and the handheld camera. There is no known explanation for the round blue orb that appears to be moving toward an eleven o'clock direction. The blue light does not appear to be shining on (or reflecting from) the curved wall. The wall paper is not reflective, and the white spotlights from the ceiling above cannot produce a small round light pattern on the curved wall surface. Lens flare can be used to explain the larger, blurred copy of the orb (to the left), but the position of the point reflection would indicate an intense side light source, which is highly unlikely.

Photo taken with a FujiFilm FinePix F72EXR camera on 10/9/2010 at the intersection of a railroad trestle (southern part of the R&DB/NJS/CNJ railroad) established 1860 and a stream (upper part of the Manasquan River) within a wooded area in Farmingdale, NJ. Many bright orbs in various colors can be clearly seen in the photo looking downstream to the east from the small railroad bridge. Interestingly, out of the 15 images captured within seconds of each other in the area, only two other pictures show orbs, but contain only two or three. None of the other images exhibit orbs. Any dust or insects would have showed up in the many other images as well, especially in the photos where flash was used. Some of the orbs also appear to be in motion. There is no clear explanation for these orbs. Some people may have been killed here while trying to cross the trestle before the train reached this point.

Photo taken with a FujiFilm FinePix F72EXR camera on 8/13/2011 in a bedroom of a timeshare at a gated community established 1987 in Williamsburg, VA. At least six white orbs can be seen in the photo. Some of the orbs appear to be in motion. No other rooms exhibited this phenomenon.

Gallery Image 8
Photo taken with a FujiFilm FinePix F72EXR camera on 8/25/2011 from the yard of a house established 1957 in Brick, NJ. At least a dozen orbs of various sizes can be seen in this photo of a rainbow. A second photo taken immediately following the first one exhibited a few faded orbs, and a third photo had no visible orbs. All three images were captured within the same minute. Each image has the bottom cropped off to protect the location.

Audio/Video:

1.3MB video clip with EVP from 01/18/2008
We are still trying to figure out what this one says.

Investigations:

Images captured from video frames taken with a Sony DCR-TRV310 video camcorder on 1/18/2008 at the Ely mill and farm established 1829 in Holmdel, NJ. During this investigation, we did not capture any unusual video or audio in the basement of the slave quarters (farmhouse), but did capture one unusual audio clip, while recording video in the barn closest to the mill. We also experienced two unexplained events on the top floor of the barn. It was dark with no electricity wired to the barn. During our 1-hour visit (5:45pm-6:45pm) to this historic farmland, we felt a temperature drop in the barn, and the fresh batteries in both the audio recorder and the video camcorder were suddenly depleted. I discovered later that the batteries recovered to nearly a full-charge condition, when I had returned home.

Photos taken with a FujiFilm FinePix F72EXR camera on 8/14/2010 at the Gettysburg National Military Park (High Water Mark, The Angle) in Gettysburg, PA. During this investigation, we did not capture any unusual images or audio, and we saw no unusual indications on a K-II EMF meter. However, we did experience two unexplained events on the field of the July 1863 battle. During our 1-hour visit (8:45pm-9:45pm) to the famous American Civil War battlefield (in complete darkness), my wife felt a sharp pain in the back of her left leg, and I observed the audio level meter on a Sony ICD-SX57 indicating a signal (temporarily), but no noise was heard at the time (using headphones). Unfortunately, the potential EVP audio was not recorded. I later realized that the blinking red LED lamp means that the recorder is in standby mode, not record mode. I never saw the same meter indication (while actually recording) for the remainder of the session.
